15 Syrian fighters backed by Turkey were killed in clashes with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces in the countryside outside Aleppo. Schools were suspended following the violence. Despite Ankara's efforts to “normalize” relations with Damascus, tensions have re-escalated on the ground between the Turkish-backed "Syrian National Army" (SNA, formerly known as the Free Syrian Army) and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
